Fishing on the west side is still slow.
Mac from Cheer was able to land a 80 pound Yellow Fin on the 13th along with some other footballs and a large Skipjack.
The water temperature seems to be hanging around 70 to 72 degrees and if this trend continues the spring season may come earlier
than normal. I was told of a marlin was hooked last weekend on a charter boat while trolling near the piles off the
southern tip of the island. That is very encouraging.
